Born in Hungary and shaped by life across Algeria and Mexico, Csilla brings a rich, global perspective to her design philosophy. She earned her Bachelor of Science magna cum laude in Interior Design from the University of Texas at Austin, then sharpened her creative edge with an Associate Degree in Fashion Design in New York City. From the very beginning, every piece has been handmade, crafted with intention and care.

“Compliments, comfort and confidence” is how Csilla’s clients have described her creations for nearly two decades. Beyond fashion, she’s a passionate traveler and fitness enthusiast. She’s currently working on projects advocating for financial education for parents and youth.

“Leave the World a little better than you found it.” by Csilla Somogyi
An ethical, carbon neutral path to the future of fashion begins here...
Csilla personally sources deadstock fabric in small quantities. Each design is intentional and optimized for perfect fit, with the best match fabric as far as drape, thickness, print placement, shine, and stretch quality. For each design original patterns are drafted by hand by Csilla. Garments are sewn together individually with care and attention in house by fairly paid labor, NEVER in a mass production, international setting with low wage labor. The finishing touches such as clipping off extra threads is done by threading the needle and stitching down each one carefully, to prevent “running” of the stitch. This couture care finish makes the items last longer through hundreds if not thousands of washes. Csilla Somogyi labels are placed on each garment with attention and care to complete the timeless look.

Sustainable
From first sketch to the last stitch we only work in house, thus minimizing the impact on our planet. We strive to be carbon negative. Each square inch of fabric is used up, even the smallest scraps are donated to schools and children for art projects.

Design
Every garment is handcrafted from scratch, beginning with a carefully designed original paper pattern drafted by the designer. Each piece is then carefully cut and sewn in-house at our studio in Austin, Texas, USA.
